Every student has a unique path to success. Our mission is to help them navigate it with confidence.

  • Empowering

We equip our students with the tools they need to become confident, lifelong learners who can navigate the challenges of the educational journey and beyond. We guide our students to become powerful self-advocates who are ready to take charge of their learning.

  • Inclusive

We create a neurodiversity-affirming environment where differences are embraced. Students establish their own goals and define their own success. Our model is strengths-based, sensory-friendly, and honors all forms of communication.

  • Supportive

Meaningful growth happens when students feel safe to explore, experiment, and make mistakes. We foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where your child feels comfortable asking questions and taking risks, building their confidence in the process.

  • Collaborative

We actively engage with students, their families, teachers, and support professionals, working hand-in-hand to craft a customized educational approach that ensures every learner's unique needs and potential are embraced and maximized.

Elise Morano

Bowdoin College

Elise understands firsthand the challenges of navigating a school system that wasn't designed with neurodiversity in mind. As an ADHDer with multiple learning disabilities, she brings her unique lived-experience to the forefront, allowing her to craft lessons with an intuitive touch that resonates with students.

At Broadleaf Learning, you're not just enlisting the services of a tutor; you're becoming a part of our vibrant neurodiversity-affirming community. Here, we understand, support, and empower your family every step of the way.

Elise is a proud graduate of Bowdoin College and has has gained valuable experience working within both the ME and NJ public school systems.

When she is not working, you can find Elise playing outside in the woods and waters of Maine. She swims in the ocean all year round and always keeps a sled in her trunk! She likes to start her day with a long walk and is working on starting a “Walking School Bus” in her neighborhood.

  • The majority of our coaching sessions are conducted online. For adults and high school students, we utilize Google Meet. Furthermore, during the last 5 minutes of each session, parents are invited to join and ask quick questions or provide input. For more in-depth discussions, we will schedule dedicated meetings. Additionally, we hold family conferences once per academic term to provide a comprehensive overview of your child's progress and address any questions or concerns you may have. Your involvement and feedback are highly valued as we collaborate to support your child's success.

  • Despite everyone’s best efforts, the emergency switch to online learning made it hard to deliver content to classes of 25+ students. In fact, Broadleaf Learning was founded during this time to support the families who were getting lost in the shuffle. Our online tutoring sessions are designed to be engaging and interactive, offering a personalized experience that keeps students motivated. Our students report loving the flexibility of online sessions— especially given their busy schedules! We offer tech support and can suggest adaptive technologies (drawing pads, document cameras, etc.) We believe in the power of connection and adaptability, and we invite students to try a trial session to ensure it's the right fit for them!
